  • If you prefer a firmer texture, you can try adding chickpeas and reducing the amount of rice and mushrooms.
  • We also recommend cooking them in advance and simply heating on the BBQ if you want to enjoy these as part of a BBQ spread.

OK, I finally made the burgers.. with all the chopping, measuring, and cooking… it took me 90 minutes from prep to finish. Now I’m exhausted, it’s 10:50 pm. And I am too tired to eat or clean up the mess.

I have to find a partner otherwise I’ll never make it ‍ like this. I hope it tastes great. Also, there’s an error. You’re ingredients call for 1/2 cup of brain rice, but when prompting to add ingredients into the processor you say “add 1 cup of brown rice”. I still love you guys..you’re too damn cute not to!

Hey Barbara! Thanks for the feedback. We try to suggest accurate prep and cook times, but obviously this varies depending on who is cooking (for example, I’m a very slow cook in comparison to Roxy, ha). The method is technically correct, the recipe involves using 1/2 cup of uncooked brown rice which should measure 1 cup when it has cooked, but I appreciate that might not be obvious so we’ve amended it slightly to make it super clear. Thanks so much for the support and hope you enjoy the burgers!
